Bridging the Gap: Webinar Focus on the Earned Sick Time Act (a.k.a., ESTA)
Some important human resources (HR) regulations are changing and challenging county road agencies to keep up! One new reg to impact every road agency this year is the Earned Sick Time Act – called ESTA – which takes effect Feb. 21, 2025. In addition, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act was updated in 2024.
CRA’s Finance & Human Resources Committee has established this Bridging the Gap Webinar to provide ESTA background and requirements, to answer your questions and pose some strategies for implementing it. Questions will be taken in advance and live during the webinar.
Audience: This session is developed for Finance & Human Resources Professionals, Managing Directors and other administrators!
Presenter: Melissa Tetreau, JD, is an associate with the Bodman Law Firm, a 170-attorney firm with headquartered in Metro Detroit since 1929. Bodman has a robust Labor & Employment group as well as a Municipal Law Division. Tetreau serves on the Legal Committee for the Detroit Society of Human Resource Management.
